Who we are

The Filey Evron Centre is a community and events venue operated by North Yorkshire Council.

North Yorkshire Council is a Data Controller as defined by Article 4(7) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Customer Information

The Filey Evron Centre collects personal information including:

  1. You hire a room or facility at the Filey Evron Centre
  2. You book tickets for events held at the venue

  5. You contact our team by email, telephone or in person
  6. You sign up to receive information about events and activities
  7. You apply to hold an event or activity at the venue

  1. Manage and administer room hire and event bookings
  2. Administer bookings made through our online booking system
  3. Send booking confirmations, reminders and other communications relating to your booking

  5. Communicate with you regarding your booking, enquiry or event
  6. Provide information about events, activities and services where you have consented to receive such communications

The Filey Evron Centre does not collect special category personal data.

Who we share your data with

The Filey Evron Centre does not routinely share your personal data with other organisations.

However, to facilitate online bookings, booking information may be processed by Lemon Booking, which provides the online booking system used by the Filey Evron Centre. Lemon Booking acts as a data processor on behalf of North Yorkshire Council and processes personal information solely for the purposes of administering bookings, payments and related communications.

Information may also be shared:

  1. With North Yorkshire Council departments involved in delivering services
  2. With third-party service providers acting on behalf of North Yorkshire Council to facilitate bookings, payments or event management
  3. Where required by law or regulatory obligations

How long we retain your data

Enquiries and General Correspondence

Information relating to enquiries and correspondence will be retained in accordance with North Yorkshire Council’s retention schedule.

Booking and Venue Hire Records

Information relating to room hire, event bookings and venue hire will be retained in accordance with North Yorkshire Council’s retention schedule.

Mailing Lists and Event Updates

Where you have provided your name and email address to receive event updates, newsletters or other marketing communications, your information will be retained until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from these communications.

What is our lawful basis for processing your information?

Where you have signed up to receive marketing communications, event updates or newsletters, your personal data is processed on the basis of your consent.

Personal data used to process venue hire agreements, room bookings, event bookings and ticket purchases, including those made through the Lemon Booking system, is processed as necessary for the performance of a contract.

Personal data may also be processed where necessary for North Yorkshire Council to carry out tasks in the public interest or to comply with its legal obligations.

Your rights

You have rights in relation to the personal information that North Yorkshire Council holds about you, including the right to:

  2. Request correction of inaccurate information
